CPR: AHA BLS Instructor Essentials
This American Heart Association BLS Instructor course is designed to prepare individuals to teach CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and how to relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. It will include a review of essential skills and BLS (Basic Life Support) concepts, equipment use, and AHA instructor expectations. This class may also be taken to renew current AHA BLS Instructor Certifications. Participants will complete an online course portion prior to attending an in-person classroom session. Within six months of completing this course, participants must be monitored successfully teaching an AHA course in order to obtain their Instructor Certification and align with an AHA Training Center. Training Center Coordinators may require additional monitoring. Prerequisite: Must have current AHA BLS Provider status, and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline.
